How to use ZeST

ZeST allows you to play our board games via online meeting platforms like Zoom, Skype or Teams. There are 2 game mechanisms used in ZeST and we have created 2 ‘how to’ videos to help you learn how to use each of them as a facilitator. It is very easy, and the videos are very short.

We have created a 3rd video to help participants understand what will happen during the game, this will save time at the beginning of the session. We suggest that you send a link to this video to all participants at least 1 day before the session. You could include the link in any email meeting invitations:

Games with a finish line

Managing a game

Select the questions you are going to use in the game.
Click on the ‘Play’ button and select number of teams to play.
Divide participants into teams and choose team names.
Type these names into the Team boxes.
Click the dice to move a team token. Present 1st question on screen.
Ask that team to discuss their answer. The timer will start.
When the timer stops ask them to share their answer with the group.
Present the written answer on screen. Lead a short group discussion.
Repeat until a team reaches the finish, or time runs out.
The team closest to ‘Finish’ wins the game.
